Sorcha Circle is a portal to journey into self discovery, joy, peacefulness and connection to nature & spirit, and much like the labyrinth in our logo, you cannot make a wrong turn, you will always end up in the place you're meant to be.
Designed to stimulate the senses and imagination.
Sorcha Circle Sound Journeys incorporate the use of several instruments including singing bowls, shamanic drums, percussion, and tuning forks and the power of story. Customized to each audience, the journey will connect participants to their five senses through sound, narration and memory reclamation.
This is a fun and interactive experience that ebbs and flows in natural arcs over a 45-50 minute session, concluding with a soothing and calming meditation that will relax the nervous system and provide time for rest, reflection and a peaceful transition into the rest of your day.
BENEFITS
RELAX, Find presence, positive emotions, better sleep, lower stress, recalling memories
Sound Therapy is actually an ancient practice with roots in many cultures around the world. Sound bathing, as it is often called, is becoming increasingly popular in the modern wellness movement due to the mental and physical health benefits.
Participants experiencing a Sound Bath or Sound Journey will be guided into a mindful and meditative state, resulting in increased relaxation and positive emotions which have been proven to help promote healing, and reduce symptoms of mental illness and physical pain. There is extensive research on the benefits of mindfulness, including: pain management, better sleep and digestion, lower blood pressure, less stress and muscle tension, as well as spiritual well-being. Auditory sensory stimulation in particular has extensive benefits for a wide range of people including our elders.
EXPERIENCE
These benefits include decreasing anxiety and depression, improving cognitive symptoms and reducing decline. Sound can help people with dementia recall positive memories and emotions. Sound also gives seniors an opportunity to feel connected with the world around them. There are both immediate benefits after one journey as well as long-term benefits from repeated Sound Therapy sessions.
RETURN
What memories do you recall when you smell a pumpkin pie baking in the oven? Does the sound of a red-winged blackbird or call of spring-peepers make you think of springtime? How about the cozy feeling you get when you taste hot choco?
Can you sense the chill that comes after being outside in the cold, and then welcome the smell of wood smoke or sound of a crackling fire? Let’s play, and activate our senses to recount stories and memories that are stimulated by certain smell, tastes, feelings, visuals and sound.
A practice of immersing oneself in forest environments to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being through the calming and restorative effects of nature.
Forest Therapy also known as Sylvotherapy, derived from the Latin “sylvo” meaning “forest,” is a traditional, non-medical approach to healing through interaction with the forest. It’s the art of connecting with the plant world, where trees are the great masters. This practice, also referred to as shinrin yoku in Japanese, meaning “forest bathing,” has witnessed a notable surge in popularity in recent years. However, sylvotherapy is not limited to forest bathing alone. While getting outdoors and hugging trees or hiking in the forest are a part of it, there is much more to experience beyond these practices.
BENEFITS
Sylvotherapy: “sylvo” (forest) “therapeia” (therapy)
Numerous scientific studies support Sylvotherapy’s positive effects on cardiovascular, immune, and mental health. Forest Therapy engages the senses and cognitive abilities, helping participants to sleep better, feel fitter, and listen to their intuition. Forest Therapy combines scientific and energetic approaches for a holistic approach to wellness.
Sorcha Circle programming includes both outdoor traditional forest bathing, but also indoor energetic forest therapy through sensory exploration and sound bathing used to transport the group or individual to connect with the natural world from their recollection, memory stimulation and imagination.

Come explore the forest, in reality or in your mind’s eye: get comfortable and join me for a little while…listen to the sound of a flowing stream, sit beneath a giant Grandmother maple - lean against her trunk and feel the energy of the mycelium network beneath you. Breathe in the rich organic smell of soil, moss and wood. Notice the breeze tickle your cheeks and move through your hair. Observe the birds flitting from branch to branch, and the chipmunks scurrying through the underbrush, busily collecting seeds and nuts. You are part of nature, let her soothe your mind and ease your worries.
A typical reiki session can last anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes. The client usually lies down on a massage table fully dressed with their shoes off. Sessions can also be done in a chair to accommodate various conditions like pregnancy or mobility restrictions, where lying down may not be a comfortable option.
BENEFITS
The reiki healing system was founded in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. Reiki therapy is a form of touch healing that aims to increase relaxation and calm your parasympathetic nervous system. Practitioners of this ancient practice use a light touch — or even no touch at all — during reiki sessions to calm the nervous system and help promote a healthy flow of energy.
Reiki practitioners channel energy. They place their hands on or near someone to balance that person’s vital energies, helping to bring the body into a greater state of balance.
Sorcha Circle Founder & Facilitator, Sarah Murray, is a Master Level Usui Reiki Practitioner, providing services to individuals, pets and horses. Sarah is trained in Animal Reiki, Celtic Reiki and also offers gemstone/crystal and frequency attunements using tuning forks aligned for each of the chakras.
Reiki stimulates relaxation and helps to reduce stress, pain, and worries, balancing on all levels — mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual — which encourages the body to rest and support healing.
EXPERIENCE
“Reiki is love, Love is wholeness, Wholeness is balance, Balance is well-being, Well-being is freedom from disease.”
Dr. Mikao Usui, 1865-1926 Japan.
RETURN
Before each session I like to sit with my clients to discuss their needs and intentions. We will begin by having you get comfortable and cozy. I’ll start each session with an invocation and often use a pendulum or chime to explore the current energy field of the body, chakras and overall aura. Then typically moving from head to foot and back I will use my hands to guide the reiki to go where it is needed most to comfort, provide release or identify an area that may need some further attention.
The process is relaxing, slow, full of positive intention, kindness, and administered with minimal touch. Clients may feel a sense of relief or upliftment following a session. It is recommended that you drink lots of water and take time to reflect and journal following your session: what have you received, what have you let go, how did you feel before and how do you feel now?
Sorcha Circle Emotional Alchemy Support uses techniques and teachings derived from Neural Network Therapy®.
Creativity sprouts new brains cells. This translates as an increase in energy and a boost in mood. As we harness creativity to generate changes in thought and behaviour, we’ll also begin to recognize patterns and develop practices to mitigate emotional drains and support overall wellbeing.
Neural Network Therapy® is backed by science. It's all about brain health, which is where your emotional health recovery begins.
BENEFITS
NNT equips the participant with tools and resources to improve emotional health and wellbeing. The participants learn how to breakdown unwanted habits in both thought and behaviour while building brand new habits (neural pathways) in their place. Behavioural change does require repetition, however, repetition doesn’t need to be boring or painful, it can be creative and fun! In fact, the more creative the experience the better the staying power.

Sarah has successfully mentored, provided guidance and coaching to individuals and staff for over twenty years.
EXPERIENCE
Neural Network Therapy® emerged in 1997 as an alternative to traditional talk therapy, largely in response to advancements in neuroscience. Simply put, a neural network is a habit that’s formed in the brain.
We’re made up of countless neural networks that determine our thinking and behaviour. But most of our neural networks are wired-up by historic programming. Anything that happened a lot of times in a row, became our habit in thinking or behaviour.
We are emotional creatures and when we find ourselves feeling stuck, this most often means old wiring is conflicting with new ideas. And it’s time for change.
Trudging uphill to create change is old school science. Generating short-cuts to feel-good emotions and healthy habits in behaviour, now that’s what therapy is all about!

We open our circle by setting intentions, acknowledging the four cardinal directions, and recognizing the four elements. We embody these connections to our self and our senses, and call-in any wise and well ancestors to join us for our practice, and the Devine to guide us through our Circle gathering.
